Transmission 23: Charity Shop Vinyl

For this show, in this season of benevolent goodwill, we carried out a charity shop run, taking a £20 note on a trawl through a dozen charity shops in George Street, Hove with the aim of buying enough vinyl for an hour long show. 60 minutes of crackle, skip and wax warp from the sounds of police bands to techno white labels, shoegazers, thrash metallers, doomed 60s pop icons, bossa jazzers, with some choral, post-punk, 1980s library music slap bass funk thrown in for good measure. All donated, rejected and tossed aside by the good people of Brighton and Hove.
